ARLINGTON HALL.—The popular Arlington troupe give their first exhibition in their new hall, corner of Clark and Monroe streets, to-night, and will thereafter continue to delight those who throng to hear and see them there.
Chicago Tribune, July 13, 1868
VAUDEVILLE THEATRE.—On Wednesday evening next, the experiment of a genuine Vaudeville theatre will be tried in this city, at the Arlington Hall, corner of Clark and Monroe streets. The performers engaged are all of excellent calibre, embracing among others the Wilson brothers, who can hardly be excelled in acrobatic or flying business; Miss Brent, an excellent ballad singe: Hernandez, who is too well known here for any detailed mention, and several first class danseuses. There will be a regular vaudeville each evening, and mixed entertainment also. A vaudeville theatre properly conducted ought to, and undoubtedly will, prove a success.
Chicago Tribune, July 16, 1868
THE VAUDEVILLE THEATRE.—The project of starting a Vaudeville Theatre at Arlington Hall has been abandoned, and very wisely, too, as its lease of life must have been very short.
