THE KENTUCKY BLOCK
is a structure which will be completed early this fall, located at the corner of Clark and Adams streets. It is 190 feet front on Clark by 90 feet on Adams, is constructed of Cleveland sandstone, is four stories and basement in height and elaborately ornamented. It is worth $150,000.

The second big project concerns the annex to the Marquette building on the 71¾ feet front west of the present structure. This, like the Young enterprise, is an old project which was first mentioned when the Marquette Safety Deposit company acquired the land early in 1902. In fact, the company is bound by the leases to build by May 1, 1909, the latter date having been fixed with the idea that it might be possible to obtain the Quincy block at the northeast corner of Clark and Adams streets, owned by the estate of Henry Field. This would have given the Marquette people the entire Adams street frontage from Dearborn to Clark, but it appears that the corner cannot be obtained.
