DISSOLUTION.
The partnership heretofore existing between the subscribers under the firm name of Stanton & Co. is this day dissolved by mutual consent, Mr. Stanton retiring from business. Either partner will sign the firm name in liquidation.

The undersigned having purchased the interest and good-will of Mr. Stanton in the above firm, will assume all liabilities and assets, and continue the business of Importer and Family Grocer at No. 975 Wabash-av. and 329 West Madison-st., as successor of Stanton & Co.

In retiring from business I return my sincere thanks my numerous friends and customers for their past favors, and bespeak a continuance of the same to my successor, Mr. Pardee, who for the last ten years has been my partner, assuring them that they will always find the same class of goods and same prompt attention to their wants.

Lucius C. Pardee.
Lucius C. Pardee, well known in the grocery business, died yesterday morning at his residence, No. 404 North State street. Mr. Pardee, who was born at Oswego, N. Y., April 6, 1838, came to Chicago in 1863, having previously been Secretary for an Iowa railroad. He entered the grocery firm of Stanton & Co., then located near the corner of Lake and State streets. and after the great fire became sole proprietor of the concern. His business place was latterly at No. 54 Madison street. The funeral will take place Thursday.
