On Lake street, between Wabash and Michigan avenues, two elegant stores, each 24½ by 13, feet and five stories high, are being bull: for Messrs. A. B. Gellatry and W. E. Donneth, from plans by E. Burling. This block will have a fine stone front, and be very elegantly ornamented. The whole of the principal story of the block will be thrown into one store, the center mall being replaced by iron pillars. The entire block will be occupied by King & Kellogg as a wholesale clothing establish-ment, and will cost $36,000.
