AMONG ARCHITECTS AND BUILDERS.
In additon to the large building which he is erecting at the southwest corner of Van Buren and Market streets B. F. Fessenden is having plans prepared by Flanders & Zimmerman for another building, to be located at the northwest corner of the same streets. This will be seven stories high, 51×76 feet. The exterior will be of pressed brick and terra cotta. It will contain elevators, steam the wholesale heat, and will be devoted to the wholesale trade. Work will be begun at once and the building completed by Feb. 1. It will cost $75,000.

⑬ The Chalmers Building
Fronts 75 feet on Van Buren Street and 50 feet on Market Street, at the northwest corner. It is 90 feet high, with 7 stories; cut-stone and brick exterior; 2 freight elevators, 1 passenger elevator. Occupied by wholesale jobbers of clothing. Erected in 1889.
